Dalyan Spa Retreat

Dalyan Turkey

 Monday 30th September – Monday 7th October 2024

I love this area so much, so when Free Spirit told me that they have found this brand new venue close to Dalyan river and within walking distance to the village, I immediately booked to return!

This new yoga venue has spa facilities which include a Hamman (Turkish Bath), sauna, treatment room, a large outdoor pool plus a small indoor pool and an indoor as well as an outdoor yoga shala.

The venue is centrally situated in Dalyan Village and close to the river, by taking one of the many riverboats from the village, we can access reach Iztutu beach which is is huge, very beautiful and within the national park. There are no buildings other than a cafe at each end with changing huts and sunbeds –  it  is a conservation area with extremely strict access rules to protect the turtles which nest there.

Besides visiting the beach we can also arrange a variety of trips. There are also hot springs, mud baths and a huge lake to explore – its a very beautiful region.

Accommodation

All rooms are en-suite and fitted with; air conditioning, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, fridge, a kettle, hairdryer and a desk.

Excursions

Besides visiting the beach we can also arrange a variety of trips.

There are hot springs, mud baths and a huge lake to explore.
A fantastic day out is the Twelve Island Boat Trip, some pictures of this excursion are in the carousal above.
On Saturday mornings there is a large market in Dalyan village selling local produce, spices, fabrics etc.
We can also arrange boat trips with barbeque lunches and a visit to a very old Haman (Turkish bath).
If you are interested in history there is the ancient city of Kaunas on the other side of the river or travel further afield to the Ghost Town at Kayaköy which is exactly as it was when the Greeks left Turkey to return to Greece.

Yoga

Yoga takes place twice daily on 5 days.

In the morning’s, there will be a vinyasya flow class beginning at approximately 8 am and finishing at around 9 45 am. We will then have a hearty breakfast/brunch buffet.

In the evenings we will practice early evening either for 60 or 90 mins. These sessions will vary each day and will include more passive restorative aspects of yoga.

There is one day mid holiday with no yoga so we may venture further afield on excursions such as the 12 Island Boat Trip, or just spend the day relaxing by the pool.
