Let them work it out for themselves

It’s natural to want to change the people we love but it can also cause stress and become toxic in a relationship.

Trying to change others (especially those that we’re closest to) has more to do with us than it does them.

Wanting to change someone comes from a good place and having the most positive intentions as well as maybe the desire to want to help them evolve. However, we cannot force our beliefs, opinions and lifestyle choices upon anyone, otherwise that becomes more about control which can be detrimentally consuming for all involved.

We can have the best sense of purpose and all the knowledge in the world to want to help a person but they may not be ready or willing to change, then we must accept that it is out of our control.

It takes them wanting to change and make that personal life affirming decision for it to truly happen.

I have learnt to be ok with that.

The most effective way to positively change the world and others is to be the change 🙏🏼

Big Love B xx
